This week in preschool...February 2-6, 2015

Jesus said, "Do not fear; only believe."  Luke 8:50
This week we learned about Jesus raising Jairus's daughter from the dead.  Jesus is more powerful than death.  God will help us with any problem, no matter how large.  We made happy and sad faces to help us with the story about how Jairus was feeling at different times.  We also made a list of what we are afraid of and then put a big red x on top and put our memory verse on the page.  Do not fear; only believe.

This week in Art, we made mosaic hearts, where we cut the heart shape out, then cut strips of paper into square mosaics and glued them onto the heart.

We dipped cookie cutters in paint and put the print on aluminum foil.

Easel painting...

This week we learned about the Letter Y.

We continue to practice writing our names, in salt trays, on the iPad, and we try to write our name on our art.

We have a hammering station, where we hammer tees into styrofoam.  This helps with eye-hand coordination.

We also have a candy heart sorting center, where we use tongs to place the conversation heart on the correct colored heart.

In our sensory table, we have a variety of Valentine material.
