What a fun week we have had!
We enjoyed Moms and Muffins!
We released our butterflies. We watched them munch, munch, munch, then make their cocoons, and we waited patiently for them to come out as beautiful butterflies.
In our sensory table we have moon sand that we like to pack, and then build with it.
We have been building with the tinker toys, what great designs the kids have come up with.
After learning about the butterflies, we have made our own. First, we made caterpillars, and now our caterpillars are butterflies. We enjoyed putting different colors of paint on the paper, then spreading them around to make symmetric wings. Once they were dried, we added our original caterpillars and some antennae.
We also did a science experiment! What happens when you add vinegar to baking soda? We even used colored vinegar.
Magic House visits on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
May 20 and 21 will be our water days, providing the weather cooperates.
