This week in preschool...March 23-27, 2015

This week we learned about Jesus' ride into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.  I invite you to ask your child what the crowd cheered when Jesus came riding into Jerusalem.  Also, ask them what Jesus was riding on, and what the people were waving.  I am sure they would also love to share their new song, Ho, Ho, Hosanna with you.

This week in Art, we easel painted, made name necklaces, made mice from a heart, and kites.  We were practicing our cutting skills, and using our fine motor skills to string the beads on our necklaces.

We have been learning about seeds, and we planted a surprise!

iPads...We are writing our names each morning, and we are using the app Little Writer to help us follow the lines to write shapes, letters, and numbers.  We are using styluses to help us practice our pencil grip.

We have Miss Emily from Kirkwood High School working with us this quarter as she learns about Child Development.  She will be with us for the 4th quarter.  This week she did some matching eggs , then helped the children put in numerical order.
