This week in Preschool...November 11-15, 2013

I am with you always.   Matthew 28:20
This week in Jesus Time we are learning about the Tabernacle being built, and that God' people worship in God's house.  We visited both the sanctuary, and the Concordia Center to see our places of worship here.

This week we made Indian corn, we cut out the ear shape, then we dipped our fingers in different colors to make the colorful kernels.  We made noodle necklaces, where we strung different colored pasta onto our string, which is great fine motor, and eye-hand coordination.  We made feather headbands, turkey tubes, and easel painted.

In Small group this week we played the Spotted Cow, where we rolled the die and put that number of spots on it, then we went around to find out who had more or less spots on their cow.  We played a dice app on the iPad, where we would roll the dice, see if they we alike or different, which die had more dots, and count to see how many dots in all.  We used gift boxes and bows and sorted and made our own gifts, like the people brought gifts to help build the Tabernacle.  We used our sense of smell and tried to figure out different spices.  People had brought spices to use at the Tabernacle also.  We played Mouse House, where we used a spoon, pom pom, and an empty tissue box, and we would try to get the mouse(pom pom) into its house(the tissue box) by using the spoon, what a great fine motor, and eye-hand coordination activity.  We played the Train game and went around the classroom to different stations and picked up passengers, and collected tickets.

We used the parachute in the gym and walked on the balance beam.

We played with the bean bags.

This week we read...
