This week in preschool.....March 4-7, 2014

God loves a cheerful giver.   2 Corinthians 9:7

This week we learned about the widow's mite.  The widow gave 2 small coins, which was all that she had.  She gave them back to the Lord.  Everything we have is a gift from the Lord, and therefore, we want to be good stewards and give back to Him cheerfully.

What fun we had reading Green Eggs and Ham then cracking the eggs, adding water, and whisking them to make green scrambled eggs. We enjoyed a piece of ham to go along with it.  We also talked about trying new things, we ask them to take a no thank you bite to encourage them to try new foods.

We painted under the table!  This strengthened our upper extremities.  We also painted our hands and made a fish bowl with one fish, two fish, a red fish, and a blue fish.

We had our grandparents trace our feet and then we measured them with rulers, small and large paper clips.  We played a game to see if we could blow a pom pom along the line.  We tried using different sizes of poms poms and we learned it was much easier to blow the small size, rather than the larger ones. It took a great deal of air to push those down the line.  It was a great science experience to talk about how air moves.

We traced letters on the iPad with the stylus.  We also enjoyed making some fabulous building structures, and playing with the play dough, coffee sand, puzzles, and the writing center.  We always love to sing songs!

This week we read...
