This Week in Preschool...September 30-October 4, 2013

God blessed them.  Genesis 1:22

This week in Jesus Time we are learning about Abraham and his faithfulness.  He left his home and went where God lead him, and God blessed him and his wife Sarah with a baby in their old age.  To go along with our story we have been singing "Father Abraham" and "If you're blessed and you know it".

In Center Time we sorted pictures of  items that would go in each room of the house, we had more practice cutting, we differentiated shoes by size, we are tracing numbers with a toy car, and we are investing a  pumpkin, and giving it a bath, and seeing if it will sink or float, and seeing if other items will sink or float.

This week in art we made yarn designs, we painted with beads and pinecones, and at the easel, and we made orange dough creations with designs.

We also have a bean table, and we like to pour, sort, use the funnel, scoop, make maracas, and have fun.

It is so fun to watch them!  They make creations from the playdough, they build castles with the blocks and add all the animals, and build ramps for the cars, make necklaces at the light table, and take care of the babies and cook food in the housekeeping area.

Our stories this week were:
Clifford the Firehouse Dog
Curious George at the Fire Station
About a Bear
Get Happy
Pumpkin Countdown
