This week in Preschool November 5-8, 2012

We learned about the Tower of Babel in Jesus Time.  We made our own tower, and heard how the people thought they were great and forgot about God.  God mixed up their words, and they couldn't build that tower anymore.  We need to remember GOD IS GREAT!  We love to sing "My God is so Great"!  Each day we end our Jesus Time with The Lord's Prayer.  We are learning each part, and each part has a different colored ribbon to go along with it.  I encourage you to pray The Lord's Prayer with your children at home.  This is the prayer that Jesus himself gave us.

We enjoyed making special gifts for our grandparents/special friend next week.
Our schedule for those days will be slightly different.  We will have a light breakfast with our guests in the Dining Hall beginning at 8:45, then we will worship at 9:15, and then dismiss grandparents.  If our special guest would like to visit our classroom after worship,  they are welcome to read books, join in puzzles, play dough, coloring, or painting until 10 a.m.  Sorry, no pictures, we don't want to ruin the surprise.

We have enjoyed having play dough again!  We have a rice table this month,  our M/W class scooped out all the beans and our T/TH class made rainbow rice to add to it.

We had fun with the instruments and dress up!

Our school is collecting filled boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  Each child should have received an informational bulletin, if you would like to participate, please bring your completed boxes to school by next Tuesday, so that they can be delivered to the warehouse that sends them out. Next month we will be collecting can food, and toiletries for Kirk Care, more information will be coming after Thanksgiving.
