This week we have been learning about how Jesus fed 5000 people.

We made torches and had our own torch relay in honor of the Olympics.
We have been using our fine motor skills to make edible bracelets using licorice and fruit loops, and we threaded valentine beads. Also in our center/small group time we made a favorite food bar graph and did jellybean science. Our jelly bean science was multi-sensory, and we worked together.
This week in Art, we made lovely heart crowns, we painted hearts on aluminum foil, made our torches, and best of all we made pancakes. When we cook in the classroom we use math, science, and our senses. We measure the ingredients, we mix, and we see how the batter changes to something yummy to eat.
We are looking forward to some warmer temperatures, if it really does warm up we will be going outside, please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothes for playing outside. Until then, we have fun in the gym with running, catching, hopping, and balancing. We also get our sillies out with our fun songs at the end of the day.
We enjoyed delivering special Valentine cards to our friends.
